Use of Facebook Social Plugins
Our website uses social plugins ("plugins") from the social network Facebook, which is operated by Facebook Inc., 1601 S. California Ave, Palo Alto, CA 94304, USA ("Facebook"). The plugins are identified by a Facebook logo or the addition of "Facebook Social Plugin". If you call a page of our website that contains a social plugin, your browser opens a direct link to the Facebook servers. The content of the plugin is sent from Facebook directly to your web browser and from that incorporated in the website.
By integrating the plugin, Facebook receives the information that you have accessed the corresponding site on our website. If you are logged into Facebook, Facebook can assign your visit to your Facebook account. When you interact with the plugins, for example by using the "Like" button or leaving a comment, the corresponding information is transmitted directly from your web browser to Facebook and stored there.
For more information on the purpose and scope of data collection and the further processing and use of data by Facebook, and your rights in this respect and settings options for protecting your privacy please see the Privacy Notices of Facebook. If you do not want Facebook to collect information about you on our website, you need to log out of Facebook just before your visit to our website.
Using Google Analytics for web statistics
The Google tracking codes of this website use the function _anonymizeIp(), allowing IP addresses to only be processed in a shortened form to exclude direct references to persons. This applies within the Member States of the European Union and other parties to the Agreement on the European Economic Area. Only in exceptional cases is the full IP address sent to a Google server in the USA where it is then shortened.
On behalf of Universal Music GmbH, Google uses this information to evaluate your use of the Universal Music website, compiling reports on website activity and to provide more services to the Universal Music Group associated with use of the website and internet. The IP address sent by your browser in connection with Google Analytics will not be merged with other data from Google.
Use of the scalable central measurement procedure
The Universal Music website uses the "Scalable Central Measuring Method" (SCM) provided by the company INFOnline to determine statistical values regarding use of our site. Here anonymous readings are collected. For the identification of computer systems the SCM measurement uses either a cookie with the ID ivwbox.de or a signature that is automatically created from different information sent by your computer. The process does not store IP addresses, which are only processed in anonymous form.
The range measurement has been developed with the respect of privacy in mind. The aim of range measurement is to statistically determine the intensity of use and the number of users of a web site. At no time are individual users are identified. Your identity is always protected.
For websites that are members of the Association for Verification of the Circulation of Advertisers (IVW), or participate in the study "internet facts" of the workgroup Online-Forschung e.V. (AGOF), the usage statistics are published each month by AGOF and the workgroup Media-Analyse e.V. as well as IVW and can be viewed at the above websites.
Aside from the publication of measurement data, the IVW regularly checks the SCM procedure according to both regulation and privacy-compliant use. You can find more information on the SCM procedure on the website of the Infoline Ltd., which operates the SCM procedure, the data protection website of AGOF as well as the data protection website of IVW. You can object to data processing using SCM via the following link: Optout IVW Box.
